Department Society

The Computer Science Department Society, COMEST, organizes a variety of academic, technical, and cultural events throughout the year. The session starts with an orientation program that introduces a new B.Sc. (H) Computer Science and B.Sc. Physical Science with Computer Science students to the department and course structure. During the year, the department organizes technical events such as workshops, talks, seminars, and webinars on emerging fields like Generative AI, Machine Learning, Big Data, and NLP offering students hands-on experience and up-to-date knowledge. The session is marked with the Annual Technical Fest, which encompasses multiple events such as Code Relay, Code Auction, Tech Charades, Action Lab, Brain Wave, and Tech Treasure Hunt. This event brings together students from various courses across the college to compete and learn from each other, providing a platform to showcase not only their technical skills and knowledge but also their creativity and team spirit, with the opportunity to win prizes. Further, the department provides a holistic environment by promoting cultural interactions among students through Freshers and Farewell events.
