About the Department

Department OF Environmental Science

Department of Environmental Science is a new department in the College dedicated to environmental learning and understanding. Department is actively engaged with students from different disciplines of science, commerce and humanities. The students are taught the theoretical as well practical aspects pertaining to ecosystem, natural resources, pollution and sustainability etc. The faculty encourage students to actively participate in seminars, quizzes, and other events highlighting problems and solutions pertaining to environment. The students are encouraged for critical thinking and analyses with the Mantra of “Think global, Act local”.

The Department have faculties with field research experience in India and abroad in disciplines of aquatic ecology, prey predator relationships, toxicology, environment impact assessment. The faculties have published research papers in reputed journals in national and international publications. The Department is focused to provide students with more lab facilities and field visits to improve understanding of environment.
